Is my cat getting bigger

We have just moved from an apartment to a house and my cat looks like shes gotten bigger since the move.

Is it normal for an animal to adjust their body size to their surroundings?

Well not in my experience. Shes either eating more due to the stress of moving (comfort eating) or she could be pregnant (if not spayed and may have met a local tom). Or it could simply be an optical illusion due to the difference in size of your new home.

I must admit this is an original question, I have never been asked this before. :)

I just took in a 4 month old kitten last Saturday and I moved away to another state on the following day (Sunday). I'm noticing the kitten getting bigger and wonder if its cause she's eating more cause i dont know her past eating habits or is cause she's coping or worms. Im still learning.
