is my cat sick

my boyfriends cat is about 6 yrs old here latley she is not going to the litter box she is peeing and pooping on the floor and i have also noticed that she is losing her hair on the back of her legs and around her tail she knows where the litter box is could she be sick

Hi well yes there is a possibility that she is sick but it could also be done to stress. Often cats will use their urine and faeces as scent markers in their home when something changes which makes them feel unsettled in their home. Please read my web page about this for more information here
