Kitten acting crazy after neutering

our tom cat (kitten)just 6 mths old was neutered yesterday,he was always very playful,but since he got neutered yesterday he's gone wild tearing up everthing and smashed a lamp?is this normal?

I think he is probably just over excited at being home again. My own cat goes crazy when he comes home from the vets. Its as if he is full of the joys of spring and runs around like mad exploring everything etc.

Also he may feel a little odd from the anesthetic, So I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. Give him a few days to get over the whole experience and see if he calms down a little (although kittens rarely do :) )
