Kitten going limp when held.

We found a kitten. And we took her to the vet and had her tested and her shots. She is two months old and very very small. She only weights a pound. We just noticed when you hold her a certain way she goes limp.but as soon as you put her down she's fine. Is something wrong?

Hi
The rag doll cat breed does this all the time, it is a quirk of their breed. However all kittens will go limp when they are picked up by their mother. this makes it easier for her to carry them. It could well be that as your little guy is an orphan he is carrying out this normal reaction to being carried.

I have lots of pages about kitten care on my site which you may find of further interest. here is the page about orphan kittens and their care
