kitten hiding food

Why does my 7 week old female kitten carry food from her dish and deposit it in my boots?

Hi
this may be instinctual ie hiding food. Why she feels the need to do this i could not say.

Stopping her could be difficult. Make sure she is always fully occupied with new and stimulating toys and things to do. This will help the cat to settle down and be distracted from any possible anxieties etc.
