kitten likes to sit under the sun

hi we have a 5 month kitten that really likes to sleep under the sun. I try to drag her to a shady place but she just keeps going back to the sunny spots. what can i do about this? Close the curtains so that there is no sunlight?

Cats love to sit in sunny places, thats what cats will do. when they get too hot they will move themselves.

the only thing you have to worry about is their ears and nose if they are white or a pale colour. in which case you will have to apply some sun cream. i had to do this with my old cat who had very thin white hair on her ears.

You wont be able to stop your cat searching out for the sunny spots, thats just what cats love. you just have to be aware of their ears. in very hot countries such as Australia there is a practice of tattoo white cats ears to prevent cancer. I found this out when my old cat got a non cancerous growth on her ears which we had to keep having surgically removed.
