Kitten with a virus

by Brenda
(Nevada, USA)

I have a 7 month old kitten. She came down with a kitty virus about a week ago. Started out with lots of sneezing. Breathing through mouth, clear discharge from nose and eyes. Not sneezing as much now, but last night stated sneezing bloody discharge. I am worried but I am figuring it is from the virus. Any thing I can do at home for her?

Thank you.

Hi the only thing you can do for a cat with a cold or flu is to make sure that it does not become dehydrated. this is the danger.

the blood is probably caused by sneezing too much and causing blood vessels in the nose to burst.

I have a web page about this here for more information
