kitten with head bent to side

I have a 5 week old kitten I is walking with its head twisted to the left and cant straighten it .It has difficulty walking,but seems bright and eats well what can I do?

Hi I am sorry but you must take this kitten to the vets as soon as possible.

it sounds like he may have a genetic disability, which i am not sure is able to be cured or not. the best thing for you to do is to take him for a proper examination and see what advice they can give.

I have a cat who born like this. He is more than one year old now and he is fine. He has hard time to climb and he walks funny but he is very healthy.

He also has hard time to catch insects and mice. When he has one, it's because my other cats caught it for him.

He has hard time with direction. When I call him he will come right away but he has to turn his body to really see me. It feels he is earing my voice from another direction.

Also, he bites and scratch but he doesn't know, he thinks he is playing.

We love him as our own kid. The Vet told me he will be fine but maybe more easy to catch cold or virus. But, since a year, my other cats caught more cold and virus than him. He is very strong.

I think your kitten is fine.

My cat had a inner ear infection when she was just 6 weeks old. I didnt know her ear was bad until she got really sick and rushed her to the vet and found out she had vertigo. She is now deaf in that ear and has a tilt but she is otherwise a normal healthy happy cat. Cats ears are very complicated always see a vet and ask them questions LOTS so they get it right. I wish I had seen the 2nd vet first and maybe it would have been better for her.

I took the kitten to the vet, but was not impressed with the outcome as the prognosis was not good.I started to give it kitten food with Gr8Acidophilus capsules and cats claw and maca. Within three days the kitten is nearly normal!! I am taking her to a wholistic vet to have her checked out now. Will keep you posted on the outcome! Nat
