Kitty bites

My cat is amazing but when she's laying there beside me and I'm petting her once in awhile she'll reach around and bite me. I don't mean a love nibble she actually draws blood.

Also I leave food out for her all the time but she only eats what she wants and goes away. I buy Iams because I want my cat to live a long time.
Also she loves peanuts but I was told not to give a cat peanuts. She also like cookies and bread but I only give her pieces the size of a dime maybe once a week. Is that wrong. I stopped giving her peanuts when I heard it could kill her.

Hi
the biting thing is a learned behavior which should have been tackled when she was a kitten but you may still be able to stop it. Every time she bites you, pick her up and put her on the floor then walk away from her, don't look at her or say anything, in fact the quieter you are the better. this will be seen as a negative response to her biting and should over time stop her from biting. Please see my page about this here

As for the tit bits, well its not really that good for her but if they are very small pieces and only given occasionally it should be fine.

best wishes kate
