Loss of a cat, will my other cat grieve

Hi, Just wondering if you could help. For the last 18 months we've had 2 half-Bengal cats since they were 12 weeks old, they were brother & sister but yesterday the girl-cat was sadly run over & killed. I'm just wondering if there is anything i should look out for with our Tom cat to make sure he is ok. I'm not sure he's worked it out that she's not there anymore yet, but wanted to make sure I did the right things to keep him settled. We're so devastated. Any andvice would be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy and i know the pain of loosing a cat myself so i know what you are going through.

Cats can grieve for another cat and this is normal. It is a process they have to go through just like we all do. I have written a page about this very issue which will provide you with much more information about the process etc here
