my 17 year old bengal has a lump above her elbow joint larger than the size of a quarter

Hi Alohalisa

This may be a cyst in which case she needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. It may be uncomfortable for the cat and to prevent it becoming infected or spreading a vet will need to see and treat it.

At 17 your cat is quite old and so it is not unusual for things like this to happen from time to time as their immune system etc becomes weaker.

The sooner you can get her to a vet the better.
