If he see her anywhere else he jumps her. He dosen't even let her go to use the cat litter box or eat. the only way is that I make him stay away. It gotten so bad My female cat used the chir next to the door. He is so loving to the family but seem to hate the female. She also smart and very loving. Both have been fixed so they can't have kittens. Please help me with this We love both cats like family & I don't know what to do. It's just my husband & myself & the two cats.

Hi
well usually in these sort of situations the cats sort out there own hierarchy. each cat deciding whether or not to try and be top cat or to succumb and be the underdog as it were. this is normal behavior and it sounds like your female cat is letting the male cat take over. If she was not happy with this she would fight back.

Normally there is not much you can do about this but f things are really that bad i would suggest a period of separation with the cats being kept in different rooms for a week or so and then for them to be gradually reintroduced using the safe method described here

It may help to calm the situation down, give you female cat some time out from the situation and to allow a more balanced situation to develop. It will take some time and effort on your part though I'm afraid.

I hope things can settle down for you all soon

best wishes Kate
