Because when I first got him he ate everything (spaghetti, biscuits, etc) and he reminded me of the raccoon called Meeko in the film Pocahontas which I had just been to see at the cinema with my Mum and younger sister =)

Meeko is a bengal kitten. he was named from the movie pocahontas, it was the raccoon. Meeko is sly,greedy,mischiovious,and good hearted in the movie and our Meeko is the same.
