OK I really just have to tell you about my sweet kitty.
She was born with a missing left back leg, which has never deterred her from being a huntress. She found us in New Bern, NC and came home with us. WE had a female Border Collie at the time and she became the trainer of our cat. Trey as we call her(three legs!)is a lot more dog in some ways. She followed SuzyQ how to go outside, comes when called, and loves to cuddle with our daughter.
The thing is someone got on me for letting her still hunt when she is outside. I am in the belief that Chuck Darwin is right survival of the fittest and if that bird is stupid enough to keep flying in the screened porch when let out then by all means he is not the fittest! Anyway, I feel she is remarkable since she can jump up on that one hind leg and grab a bird in mid flight and be off with it. Oh that is WITH a bell on her collar. She is a well fed little girl and is a small cat.
I did want you to know that this owner does praise her for her gifts and gives her love when she brings me a gift. It is her way of making me realize she feels a part of our family. After our border collie passed I could see her depression. She had a loss far greater than anyone could imagine. They had been together for about 8 years.
Thanks for your website! I posted it to my facebook page in retaliation to the mean comment.

I agree with you. Cats are cats and the cycle of life is what makes the world go round.
Thanks for telling us about Trey :)
