My cat just had kittens two days ago. Four of them. Today she moved three of the kittens away from her and only kept one by her. Is she rejecting the three kittens she moved away. She didn't move them very fact but still worried about it

Hi
It can take a little while for some new mothers to get used to being a mother and looking after her kittens so this may be what is happening here.

However if the mother cat feels that three of her kittens are not very strong she may reject them in favor of the stronger one.

Keep an eye on them all and make sure they all get to feed. The first few days of a kittens life is very fragile and it is important that they get plenty of their mothers milk to help them become
strong.

Please see my pages about kitten care for more information.
