We rescued Mowgli and Bagheera from our grandma's coworker. Their cat had a litter and they weren't sure what to do with them. Bagheera is all black and he looks like Bagheera the panther from the Jungle Book. It's true that Mowgli looks more like Shere Khan but we liked the name Mowgli better. Also, the two fit together just like they do in the movie.
Lucky and Lucy we rescued from our grandpa's barn. A friend of his had a litter of kittens that they didn't know what to do with (sound familiar?) so we took them off his hands. My dad wasn't sure what to name them so he just picked a simple 'Lucy'. And Lucky... well she was very lucky we took her! We already had Lucy to look after, and my mom didn't want another cat, but she gave in eventually.
They're so wonderful. I love all my kitties!
Odysseus or odie for short

My 6 month old ragdoll is called odysseus. It has been a long tradition of mine to call my pets be different Ancient Greek names. For example I have 2 bearded dragons named Leonidas, Leo for short, and Draco. I also have a Siberian husky named Achillies. I also had another ragdoll before odie named Tiberius, tibby for short. He unfortunately passed away at 7 months from a heart value problem. The names even the nick names tend to fot them so well. Tibby was very regal lookinh almost lion like, but lived to play and eat.Odie is no different. His sly fox-like face relates to the odysseys Odysseus' character as a whitty smart and handsome king. The ragdoll breed is just as royal and fun and should be known as the long cat breed. Cuz they rule! Rest in peace forever my sweet prince:) I will continue to name my pets in this manner forever:)
