My 3 week old kitten eats and sleeps more than usual.

She is only 3 weeks old. She is an abandoned street cat. Why does she sleep and eat more than usual?

she is very young still and kittens need lots of small feeds through out the day and night so eating every hour or so (small amounts only or she will get sick and over weight) is normal. Also kitten will sleep for long periods, most cats can sleep for up to sixteen hours a day but kittens need even more while they are growing. Don't expect too much of her until she is a little older and then she will be full of energy and you will wonder what to do with her.

Make sure she gets her first vaccinations soon to protect her from illness as they are very susceptible to infections etc when very young.
