my cat ate string and is now ill

My cat has recently eaten some string off of a piece of beef, and he was sick. Now sometimes he won't eat and is behaving funny and the fur under his chin has gone matted. He vomited most of the string back up but we think he might stil have some in his stomach are there any other things that could be wrong with him?

If he does have some string left inside then it is important that you take him to the vets as soon as you can. String could get caught up inside and cause all sorts of trouble.

It wouldn't hurt to take him to be on the safe side any way, as the vet will be able to see if he is suffering from anything else that could be causing sickness etc.

If his symptoms get very bad please try to find an emergency vets over the holidays. In the mean time make sure he gets plenty of water to drink as this may help to flush water it is through him.
