Jun 17th 2010 - Byron In A Box

Byron The Box Cat

Byron The Box Cat

Looks like Byron has decided that he would rather sleep in our old hat storage box than sit on his cushion. Typical cat, you buy them luxury bed and they prefer a rotten old box.

looks like Shelley can't understand his decision either.

As you can see from the picture Matt decided to use my camera mono pod to prop the lid open. i knew that would come in handy for something.

Does your cat like to sit in unusual places too?

Mooshu and Bud
by: Anonymous

Mooshu and Bud are our eight week old kittens. We bought them some really cozy beds and then they prefer to sleep under the computer desk, under the bed, and on an old towel. They're sooo funny!! They are black and white domestic cats just like Byron.

Byron in a box

Hi,

Mt cats would rather go in a box also. My Botsie is 17 pounds and he will try to squeeze himself into the smallest box. He is sooo funny! I love my cats! Thank you for sharing and the picture! I have 2 tiger tabbies. Bootsie is 3 and Bonnie is 1. They adore each other!

Jun 30th 2010 - The Cat Wanderer

Byron On the Window

Byron On the Window

Byron our very independent cat disappeared again yesterday. i spent the day shaking his food bowl, calling him and anxiously wandering around the garden and up and down the street.

9 hours later and just as I was really starting to panic, he calmly strolls into the hours gives his usual arched back stretch and comes over a for a cuddle.

This left me in total hysterics on the floor with him looking at me like was some demented idiot. he could be right.

i really will have to learn that Byron does this from time to time and that i really must relax and stop fretting the moment he disappears for one of his long wanders.

Our two cats are so different, Byron wanders off and returns when he is ready and when he does he wants a great fuss and wants to lick us clean. Shelley on the other hand stays close to home and loves to be with us as much as he can. hes the one who will trip you up if your not careful.

Don't you just love cats and their wonderful independent characters :)

He is so pretty!
by: Nancy

Your kitty is beautiful! When we moved into our new place, our kitty escaped. We did not want to let him out because we are living right on a fairly busy street. He was gone for 1 week, and I was looking in the shelters, etc. Then one night, there was a scratch at the window and my husband let in our kitty, Chaucer. He meowed and meowed, like he was telling us all about what happened to him. I was just so glad he came home!

Take care of your kitties, this guy is just gorgeous!

June 1st - Smiling Shelley My Happy Cat

by Kate

Happy Cat Shelley

Happy Cat Shelley

It never fails to make me sigh with contentment at the sight of a smiling Cat.

Shelley is particularly good at smiling and looking happy as you can see here in this picture.

he also enjoys lying on the carpet and dragging himself around by digging in his claws in the carpet and pulling. This wasn't too bad when he was a tiny kitten but now he is a big boy, the carpet is suffering more.

still, I'd rather have a happy cat then a spotless carpet any day of the week. Keep smiling Shelley.
