My cat has issues!

Our cat is at least 12 year old if not older and has been having bad diareha for a couple weeks now, we have been having flea issues and I've given both my cats flea dips and put the flea medicine on their backs, only the older one has had this diareha problem. She also has been eating the dog food, when I catch her I shoo her away and it works. Will eating the dog food hurt her? She also has scabs all over her, I was guessing it was from all the flea's and scratching herself. She also pukes on about anything she lays on. She's never been to the vet so it worries me!

it sounds to me like the dog food may have upset her tummy. new or different food can do this. Also the flea dips may have also upset her if she managed to ingest some of the water.

However due to her age I would definitely recommned that you take her to see a vet just to be on the safe side. There may be other things going on which could be causing these problems. Two weeks is quite a long time to have cat diarrhea and she may be becoming dehydrated which can be dangerous.

The scabs are probably due to her scratching from the fleas but again the vet will check this.
