my cat hasn't meowed for ages

My cat has stopped meowing! I just noticed this a little bit ago, but i haven't heard his meow in a LONG time!!!! like a week or two!! Then i looked it up and i realized when i picked him up, he was ALSO losing weight!!! I mean he's a fat cat to begin with, but i thought this was weird, i haven't refreshed his food in forever! I'm about to go check if it's empty or full. Does this mean something HORRIBLY SCARY!!!! like i think it does???

No not necessarily. there are other illness es which can cause weight loss which can be easily treated such as a thyroid issue.

There's no point in worry about what you don't know for sure, I know I can speak from bitter experience myself. When in doubt take your cat to the vet as I do. the sooner any problems are diagnosed the better the outcome.

He may not be feeling very well and this is why he has been silent recently so take this as an indication from your cat that something may be up.

Hope he is back to his old self soon
