My cat, is he rude?

my cat sits in the corner with his back turned to me, why does he do this?

Well it's either a preferred sitting place (who knows what goes on in the kitty mind) or if he is getting on in years then it could even be old age.

Some cats can get a form of dementia which can some times manifest in staring blankly at walls etc.

Having said all that my own cat will sometimes just sit facing walls etc and I think she is just off in a dream world and that how and where she is sitting is of no consequence.
