My cat is throwing up today frequently white foam

Today my cat started throwing up white foam and sometimes there are bits of green slime in it, too. He doesn't want to eat and is showing no interest and I have to go away tomorrow and don't know what to do now. I would appreciate your help!

However it could be hairballs as this is often a reason for a cat to throw up white foam. please see this page for more on this

If however this continues for more than a week or if it gets worse then a trip to the vets would be the best option.
