my cat keely

I have a 10 month old female cat. She is an indoor cat but about 3 weeks ago she got out without anyone realising and was out at least half an hour. I noticed yesterday she had some white stuff on her nipple, so I squeezed it and more white gunk came out, she has it coming out of all her nipples. Any ideas what it could be? She has been acting weird, loss of appitite, sleeping all the time and she is a lot more loving.

Hi
well if she is not spayed then i would suggest that she may be pregnant. However are you sure she did not get out longer ago than that as it is rather early for her to begin lactating.

The only other things is that it could be a phantom pregnancy, however this is rare. I would say that your best option is to take her to see a vet as soon as you can as he will be the only one able to say for sure whether or not he is pregnant.

I always advise people that even indoor cats need spaying as there are many other health benefits apart from avoiding pregnancy. see this page for some of them
