My cat keeps going into his litter box

my cat keeps going in and out of cat tray seems like he feels like he does neeed it but can't or dnt need it even tho he thinks he does hes crying all time and wondering round the house alot very unsettled hes been like this for about 2 to 3 wks please help

Sounds to me like he may have a urine infection which can give the sensation of needing to go to the loo all the time. It would also explain his agitation as this can be very uncomfortable.

male cats are more prone to urine infections and also blocked anal glands too.

My advice would be to have him checked by a vet to rule out any possible physical problems in this area. It definitely sounds like he he may be in some distress if you say he is wandering around and unsettled.
