My cats dont like each other any more

We have two inside cats that are not related, but we call them brothers- they would play, etc with each other. We baby sat for a kitten for a week and 1/2 - in shich my younger cat became protective of and "hissed" off the older cat every time he came near - my concern is - the kitten is gone, but my cats are still not buddy buddy as they were. is there anything we can do - the older cat (4 years) is kind of a scaredy cat , where the younger (3 yrs) is a little more agressive- we want them to be buddies again!

You will need to take the cats through a period of reintroduction again using the safe method so that there is no fear of attack. It does take some time but helps to rebuild the confidence the cats had in each other before. the method is described here
