My elderly cat is peeing everywhere

by jennifer
(orangevale ca)

my old cat (18 years at least) has been peeing everywhere (except in her litter box , of course), but in the last day she has not appeared to drink any water, therefore no pee, so what's the problem? Please help.

Well it may be age related ie senility. However more commonly it is to do with anxiety and the need to scent mark their environment again to help make them feel more comfortable. the trouble is knowing what is causing the anxiety. Please see these pages for more information

My advice would be to have a vet check her over in their is some underlying problem.

best wishes KAte
