My kitten wont stop climbing on window screens

Hello, we recently took in a stray kitten and he is pretty good, except that he keeps jumping up on our window screens and then just hangs there or climbs up them. It is ruining our screens and we can't get him to stop. He is an outdoor cat, so we never let him in when he does this. How can we teach it to not jum on our screens?

Well this is a tricky one and not a question I think there is definite cure for.

You could try spraying the screen with a strong lemon scent this may help to deter your cat from them. You could also try to provide your cat with their own scratching posts and carpets etc. There a lots of variations available to suit different cats needs.

I have a few web pages with lots of different scratching posts etc here

These posts will help to keep her claws in tip top condition and also keep them trimmed. It will also mean that she will be less inclined to use your screens.

Best wishes KAte

Our kitten has a scratching post and I have tried the cat deterrent spray and nothing seems to work. It's extremely frustrating and not sure what to do
