my second cfat is now sick too

I HAVE A KITTEN CALLED"MISSY",SHE IS APPROX 4/5 MTHS OLD, SHE HAS BECOME LETHARGIC.AND VERY SLEEPY AMD HAS A TEMP OF 39.4C,SHE'S DRINKING OK BUT HAS NOW STOPPED EATING AS OF THE LAST 24HRS.HER SISTER WAS RUSHED TO THE VET LAST WEEK,AND HOSPITILISED,AND WAS DISPLAYIMG SIMULAR SYMPTOMS ONLY SHE WAS MUCH WORSE AND NEEDED IV FLUIDS ANTIBIOTICS, AND IS NOW OK AND RUNNING AROUND LIKE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED .I AM ONLY ON A PENSION AND THE VET WONT TREAT HER UNLESS YOU CAN PAY, UP FRONT I DONT WANT HER TO SUFFER AND AM KEEPING HER WARM AND OFFERING WATER REGULARLY,BUT SHE NOW WONT EAT; SHE SEEMS BRIGHTER THAN SHE WAS BUT I AM STILL CONCERNED, THE VET HER SISTER WENT TO COULDNT TELL US WHAT IT WAS, I ALSO HAVE A 14YR OLD BURMESE TOO AND DONT WANT HIM SICK TOO, PLEASE COULD YOU PERHAPS HELP ME JULIE

Unfortunately it is impossible to say what this could be. Hopefully it is only something like a cold which the cat will get over in a few days. If it is it is important that they drink plenty of water to keep them hydrated.

Cat flu can be rather nasty and is why cats are vaccinated against it. Please see my page here for more information about this

Unfortunately if your cat does require antibiotics then only a vet can provide these. perhaps you could call them and ask them if you could have more medicine for this cat rather than bringing them in if the symptoms are the same.
