Nala & Blue

Blue is a siamese with very blue eyes and she was named "Blue" after the famous children's cartoon character "Blue" from Blue's Clues (even though the character is a dog and male)
I picked these names because the cats were a gift for my 4 yr old daughter and we wanted to name them after characters she knew.

My duaghter got a beautiful black female cat for her birthday. Her name when we got her was Velvet. I tried to keep it but it just didnt seem to fit. So I started to do some searching for the name that really represented her. I thought about Mrs. Wiggles b/c she wiggles her tail and butt around when she gets excited but she is such a "lady" and the name seemed goofy. She acts a lot like a lion or panther so I looked up Disney lion names.
I came up with Nala. She is the female cub from The Lion King. And it means "gift" in swalihi. Perfect!
