new kitten at home

we just got sweet 5-month old kitten on thursday night. Until today (saturday night) he has not eaten anything at all and is still hiding. Although, he did find his litter box and did some poop on friday morning. we have left him alone hoping that he will come to us when he feels safe in his new environment.

what shall we do? shall we wait another day?

Leave him alone with some food for a while, he will eat when he feels safe. If he still does not eat then I would say I think it may be an idea to check with a vet that there is nothing physically wrong preventing him from eating.

I suspect that it is just a case of new home nerves and once he settles down he will start to eat.

Make sure the food is as smelly as possible (some brands are smellier than others) this will entice him to eat.

I'm sure all will be well soon

best wishes Kate
