What should you feed a nursing cat? I saw your article on homemade cat food and i was wondering if giving my cat something homemade instead of store bought would be better for her?

This is a hot debate at the moment. There are a lot of people who say that what is put into commercail cat food is bad for cats and others who say that it is perfectly good and actually helps in their development.
All i can do is give you my perspective. I have had many cats over the years and have always fed them cat food, however i have always made sure that i buy well known top brands or ones that are recommended by the vet. this way i know they have a reputation to up hold and it would be stupid of them to sell inferior goods. as for a nursing mother, there are commercially availble cat foods designed especailly to help the nursing queen ( see my page here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diet.html ) If you do decide to prepare your own food for your cat it may be advisable to add a powdered suppliment available from good pet stores and online which will make sure that the meals are well balanced and contain all the nurtients your queen will need.
