oscar the cat

oscar's left front fang has grown across his front gum line. Is this compromising him in any way, or causing him pain? He is eight years old, outdoor, and use to be fiesty(behaviorily) but has grown complacent. Might this behavior have any thing to do with this "fang" issue or handicap?

Hi
Yes I would definitely say this could be causing your cat some problems and possibly some discomfort too and that is why his behavior has changed.

often the only way we know when something is wrong with our cats is when their behavior changes and we should use this indicator by taking them to see a vet.

I would say that a trip to the vets to have this looked at is in your cats best interests, at the very least the vet will be able to say whether or not is causing your cat problems or not. dental work for cats is quite common and so is nothing to worry about.

I hope he is fine again soon

best wishes Kate
