Please help bad cat

by Doug
(Panama)

For starters I live in a country (panama) that last year 125 human beings died because the state run medical system used glycol as a sweetener in over 25 prescription medications. No trial, No incrimination, lowered the annual medical costs for the state. I like animals but my neighbors cat has taken a liking to my car. It's a jeep with no top and doors parked in my driveway. This Cat has in the past week sprayed the car so bad I can smell it while driving a topless car. It also decided to use my $1,200.00 seats as a scratching post. I can not have them repaired. My neighbor in question left the country for three months and the son is watching the place. I am not going to buy anything here or have it shipped from the states. How can I keep the cat away? I obviously care about it's life or I would not have been posting this. Please advise. Doug

Doug clean your car thoroughly and use dry bicarbonate of soda (availble cheaply from the supermarket) leave on for about an hours then hoover up this will help to get rid of the smell.

To repel the cat you could try a solution of water and lemon juice around your car wheels and seats. Cats don't like the smell of citrus. Other tan that your only other option is to pull a tarpauline over the top to stop the cat getting on the seats.
best wishes kate
