Pregnant Cat needs treatment

Should I treat my cat for fleas if she's pregnant or heart worms? I'm pretty sure that any digested treatments shouldn't be given until quite some time after birthing process. But what about treatments applied on the outside of a feline? I'm not to sure about either but I would love to here your thoughts.

Hi Chantel, well i am not a vet and so i wouldn't like to give you an opnion on this. I would think that most brands of flea and worm treatments would say on the box if they should not be given at certain times.
I use flea medication prescribed by the vet as i understand that this provided the best protection and also treats worms at the same time, so i would ask my vet. If you are buying over the counter medication i'm sure a quick call to your vets asking them if it is Ok to use will be fine too.
