Pretty eyes

It might seem like a strange name for a cat so let me explain. 6 years ago he turned up looking through my cat flap. He was thin malnourished fur in a mess and had a sore mouth. We also know now that he had been mistreated. His eye colour was this amazing light green. He was afraid but so hungry so I placed several bowels of cat food and walked away a safe distance and talked to him about his pretty eyes whilst he ate. It took months before I could get anywhere near him and I would call him pretty eyes for his food. I made a bed in the greenhouse that he started to sleep in. That is the name he knew. Eventually over time we gained his full trust. Took him to the vets (no chip) where he was treated for fleas, mouth abscess and then when fully healthy he was neutered et all and chipped with the name pretty eyes because that was now his name. We didn't know how old he was but he became the most wonderful cat. He would follow me every where and had to sleep right next to me every night. He will be going to the rainbow bridge today 19th October 2015. It's his time to move on. We think he was around 15 years old. I am trying to console myself with the fact that his later life was happy because we loved him and he loved us. He found us and renewed his faith in human kind. God bless you pretty eyes
