queen cat has hot ears

Hi there I am fostering a queen at the moment, the kittens are only two weeks old, however I have noticed that the mum has very hot ears, she has had a couple of sneazes but not much and she does seem quieter today than she was yesterday, I am concerned she is becoming ill and that she will pas something onto the kittens.

Answer from KAte
Hi
well from the sounds of it she may have picked up a virus of some sort and this could turn into a cold etc. She may even have a temperature.

Some times the effort of having kittens can weaken a cats energy and so open them up to illness and yes you are right you dont want this passed on to the kittens.

Your best option is to take her to the vets for a proper diagnosis. He will also be able to advise you on how best to protect your kittens from any illness.

best wishes KAte
