red ball handing from cats behind, what is it ?

my cat just gave birth to six kittens. it happened atleast a day ago. Ever since then, there has been this red ball like thing covered in blood hanging from her rear end, what is it ?

This sounds like it could be the embryonic sack which should naturally come free. the fact that it hasn't after two days means that something is wrong and you have to to take her to see your vet today. This could cause a serious infection for your cat.
