red eyes

We have a 3yr. old orange tabby. The matter in the inner corner of both eyes is always reddish brown. It's sort of scary as it looks like old blood. Input please.

well i am nort a vet but it could be some sort of conjunctivitis. Have you tried wiping it away every day to see if it comes back. If if it is always there and can't be wiped away then a trip to the vets might be in order as it might be painful for the cat.
