red liquid from male cat

i have a 3 year old male cat he has been neutured. sometimes when he is playing with us some liquid comes out of him which i persume is from the back end as he starts licking it instantly. he has also done it in the bath once as he likes drinking from the tap, whilst he was waiting for me to turn it on he meowed and then moved and ther was a red liquid ther. i persume its the same as it has an awful smell to it. do you know what this can be and if its something should be worried about?

This is certainly not normal and it is definitely something you need to have checked out my the vet.

he may have an infection, possibly a UTi which definitely needs treatment. It should be easily sorted out but the sooner you can take him to the vets the better.
