someone i know has confined to cats to a bedroom for over 2 months now . the room has a bad odor coming through the door.it has a dirty litterbox smell. recently 1 cat got out of the room and the person couldnt get it back in the room. it has been in the other part of the house and within a few days the cat died.could the cat of died by breathing in the smell of the ammonia of the dirty litterbox. please give me an answer on this because this person in my opinion is cruel to the cats by confining them to a bedroom. the cats are always scratching on the door to get out. i am seriously considering calling animal control on this person so the 4 cats and 2 dogs can find better living conditions.

Hi
This does not sound good at all and If I were you I would definately be calling the authorities. Just think you could be saving suffering to several animals.

Cats and dogs should not be living in dirty conditions and they can certainly get sick if they do.

Whats the worst that can happen, you get it wrong (which i doubt) the authorities will still thank you for being a caring neighbour.

I wish you all the best and well done you for being a caring animla lover.
