Runny nose but everything else wrong

My 7 yr old male cat has a runny nose, I thought it was drool, but now I think it's his nose. He is eating and drinking and acting totally normal. Should I take him to the vet or will he get over this on his own?

It very much depends on how long he has a runny nose for. If it is only a few days or even a week, then I would wait a few more days to see if it clears up. If not he may have something stuck up there like a hair which is causing an infection, in which case the vet would be the best person to check.
