Russian Blue 13 week Kitten Constantly crying!!!

We just picked up our kitten yesterday, never had a kitten before and just really worried!!! She is a Russian blue 13 weeks old

She keeps crying constantly she won't let anyone anywhere near her if we get too close she hisses at us!!
Don't know what to do!! We have her in one room with litter tray and food water toys ect and we are giving her own space!
Just want to check if this is normal? Didn't expect her to hiss! I did expect crying as she obviously misses her mother and brothers and sisters!!
She is eating and using her litter tray which is good!
I just need some advice what is the best way to make her feel comfortable and get used to us? I want to be able to stroke and comfort her but i can't get anywhere near her!
We don't have any other pets in the house it's just 3 adults

if you can suggest anything I would really appreciate it

Thank you

Alarna

Hi
She is obviously very frightened and the hissing etc is her way of expressing this fear. She needs time to settle into her new home and to get to know you all and this needs to be done in her own time.

Please see my page about bonding with a cat here

Try to give her some space for the first few days, make sure she has things in her room to keep her occupied there are some ideas on this page

Don't worry too much at this stage, some cats just take longer to settle down.

best wishes Kate
