Russian Blue Odd Behavior?

We have just adopted a 2 year old neutered male Russian Blue. He appears to be healthy and the first day, he got fed, watered, rubbed and scratched. He then got under the bed and will not come out. He has used the litter box and eaten half of his food and water but will not come out from under the bed.

Hoe long will this go on.

This sounds quite normal behavior for a new cat in a new home. How long it will go on depends very much on the cats own personal personality and how they have interacted with people in the past. Some cats will settle in within a few days other need more time and a little more TLC.
