scared of balloons

My cat saw a balloon and got scared and keeps on hiding everywhere.

She will not eat or go the bathroom. She hasn't come out for 1 day 21 hours and 14 minutes.
What's wrong with her.

well you have answerede your own question really, she is scared and now feels too frightened to come out. As long as you are patient wilth her and behave in a calm quiet manner around her, she will come out for food when she is hungrey enough and when she feels secure again. This may take a couple of days before she regains her confidence, just keep offereing her food and let her take her own time to get over ther shock. If you try and force her it is likely that the problem could get worse.

exactly how many days does it take for the cat to feel secure again and regain confidence.????

I'm afraid this is different from cat to cat. Some get over it quickly some take a lot longer.

I had this same problem when I came home with two large birthday balloons. My cat ran and hide terrified wouldn't come out or eat.
