Shadow - Cat Photos

Shadow, I found one day while dropping books off at the public library. She was a skinny cat where you could see her ribs and meowing for attention. A teenager was holding her trying to get her mom to let her take her home and was upset because the library was closing and the cat was going to be left. I decided to take the kitten home which made the teenager feel better. She is a docile cat, affectionate but more distant. Anyone can pick her up. She has a gentle giving temperment, one so much so she will roll onto her back and let her rub her belly. Where ever I went this cat followed me. She did not cling to me just followed me where ever I went. She has gray and beige tiger markings,but I did not want to name her smokey or grey. Then I got to thinking a shadow follows you, a shadow is gray in color and a shadow is unassuming. It fit my kitten perfectly thus her namesake. Though she has a gentle disposition she has another side to her that is playful and dynamic. She can leap and do acrobatics like a gymnist. There is one toy I call "the secret weapon" that she just leaps and does flips for. It is incredible the feats she can do. Also while playing with this toy she growls and her face puffs up and she looks like a Bob cat. But even in all that she never bites, scratches or denies the other kitten play time should he try to join in the frey during a lull.
