shorthaired cats

Hi,

I want to get a shorthaired kitten. Alot of my friends have kittens too. I have noticed that shorthaired kittens lose fur and longhaired kittens don't. Is that true? Or is it a problem. Also, do you know a specific author that writes cat books (such as cat encyclopedias or books with alot of information)?

all cats shed hair apart from perhaps the sphinx cat who does not have hair at all.

Long haired cats need more grooming as they can be susceptible to hairballs https://www.our-happy-cat.com/hairballs.html

There are many good cat care books on the market it really is down to what sort of information you are seeking. take a look in your local book shop and I'm sure you will find lots of different ones covering different aspects of cat care.
best wishes Kate
