Should i take him to a vet?

by Sophie
(US)

My cat had a patch of fur missing on his tail and we thought that he had gotten in a fight, so we waited a few days and there were more small patches in the same area, also his fur doesnt feel silky like usual and his nose is dry, its usually wet. Should i be worried?

Answer by Kate
Umm well it could be a skin problem like an allergy which may be making him pusll out his own fur or it could be that he has sustained a injury. whther or not trhe fact that his coat doesn't feel as glossy as normal or may not be connected.
I f i was you i wouldn't wory i would take hime to the vet to rule out any medical condition and also to put your own mind at rest. whenevere any thing like this happens with our cat we always get her checked out just so that we don't spend our time worring. Best wishes Kate
