Sick cat

i have a female cat about 10 human years old. She has always seemed very healthy. Recently, my husband and I went on vacation and left her with our other cat (her father) and my mother looked in on them a few times a day while we were gone. She noticed both cats really didn't eat much while we were gone but this is normal behavior for them if we go on a trip which is only once per year. When we returned, she seemed a lot skinnier, like she did not eat anything at all the whole week. We watched her for a week and she still did not seem to be eating so I bought her tuna to try to get her to start eating something. She ate a little here and there. Well today, she has not eaten anything and is so skinny, I don't think there is anything left on her. She is starting to limp. I am going to be going to the vet since she has gotten worse and not better but I was just wondering if you have any information on her condition. (she is drinking a little water every day) Thank you

Sorry no I haven't really got an answer for this one. There are so many possibilities ie stomach bugs, virus etc that i wouldn't like to say. the vet may want to take some blood work to do some tests and this is really the only way to find out what could be wrong.

i hope it is nothing serious

best wishes Kate
