spayed cat in heat?

My cat Maisie was spayed at 6 months and is now one year old. 4 days ago she started to show all the behaviour of being in heat. Does this mean she will continue to do this, or will her hormones disappear after this episode? Her twin Mabel was spayed at the same time and shows none of this behavior.

no once a cat is spayed they will no longer go into heat. After 6 months all the associated hormones should be out of her system so it could simply be instinct.

Some male cats will even display mating behaviors after they are neutered from time to time simply due to instinct which kicks in now and again.

It should be short lived and will not always happen.
